ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Lindsey Pogue, a genre-bending fiction author, best known for my soul-stirring survival series the Savage North Chronicles, and my historically-infused dystopias written in the Forgotten World.
As an avid romance reader with a master’s in history and culture, my adventures cross genres and push boundaries, weaving together facts, fantasy, and timeless love stories of epic proportions.
Aside from writing full-time and coaching, I am a world-traveller and cowgirl at heart. I love history, tacos, and a nice cold gin lemonade on a warm summer night. Sunsets feed my soul, rain calms my spirit, and everyday heroes and heroines inspire my stories.
I completed my first new adult manuscript in high school and I've been writing tales of love and friendship, history and adventure ever since. When I'm not chatting with readers, plotting my next storyline, or dreaming up new, brooding characters, you can find me wrapped in blankets, watching my favorite action flicks with my own leading man.
My husband and I live in Northern California with our rescue cats, Beast and little girl Blue.

For years, aspiring writers have asked me how I create such immersive worlds, relatable characters, and navigate the ever-changing author industry. And so, a decade later and with 30 books written, The Dauntless Author is born.
I used to write stories to escape real life and saved them on a floppy disc, hidden away thinking nothing would ever come of my dream to become a published writer. In 2012, all of that changed. I co-authored and published my first book, during what we now refer to as the "Golden Age" of indie publishing. Self-publishing was just taking off and there weren't nearly enough books to satisfy so many neglected, insatiable readers.
Now, everything has changed. And I've learned many hard-earned lessons over the years in order to pivot and keep up with this ever-changing industry.
After years of readers and aspiring authors inquiring about my business and storytelling process, I'm here to share over a decade of knowledge, curated information and resources, and storytelling process with you. The Dauntless Author is a project I've been thinking for a long time, and I'm at a place where I can slow down in my writing career and spend time with fellow authors, helping them embrace their creative journey.
